Hi folks,

I pray & hope you have a great year. Thanks for reading, supporting, and praying for Pencil Bible (PB) all through 2022.

I think this year we are going to finally get it all done. Thank you for all your patience since even before we launched in March 2022. This project has pushed my patience levels to the max. It really is slow and steady 😅.

Our developer is busy working on Version 2.0 of PB. This will include, palm rejection, finger scrolling, smooth and fast writing, no performance drop, and a new way to create more pencils and even remember the colors on different tools. I hope it will be finished by this week. PB 2.0 will be the foundation on which all the rest of the features can be added.

Please remember with PB 2.0 your old notes won’t be available. If it’s the first time you read about this please see this link: https://pencilbible.com/note

After PB 2.0 is launched we will either add the CSB translation or work on landscape mode. It depends on how much cash is left and if we can find more developers. Many of the translations require a $1500 deposit.

The good news is I finally found the right organization for the digital NIV version. I pray & hope they give the go-ahead next week. If we have the file I will make sure it is added quickly. I believe it’s the most requested translation at the moment.

In other news, I found a very premium development company called https://margelo.io/. They basically wrote the language in which we write the code. They are incredibly expensive, but they will get results fast. As the revenue grows I will get them to do more technical jobs. I’m thinking the Android version will be a primary objective for them 🤔.

How is growth? Well, subscriptions have been booming since the lower pricing tiers were introduced. Moving to 1000 subscribers fast now. Our ranking in the Apple store is still steadily climbing under the reference category. Think we are now 8th in the App Store under reference.

Reviews on the app store have been a pain for me. Probably deserved — but people can be really harsh. We are getting a ton of 1 or 2-star reviews. If you believe in the long-term vision and you still have some patience left please go leave a 5-star review on the Apple Store.

What else? Please keep suggestions coming and please pray for the project & developers for speedy coding & fast solutions.

That’s it. Looking forward to a big year!

Erin
